Frequently asked questions
How are your products made?
All of our products are designed in-house and 3d printed by us.
We use primarily PLA filament, along with various coatings for aesthetics, UV protection, and sealing, depending on the product.
Are 3D prints pet safe?
The filament we use (PLA) is considered food safe by the FDA. All coatings we use are known to be safe for contact with pets. The only exception would be food/water dishes, which we will not do standalone 3D prints for. If we create any food or water dish, it will be designed around or come with a food safe container to hold the actual consumables.
Because 3D prints are inherently porous, it's important not to submerge them in dirty water to avoid bacterial growth, but with proper cleaning and care, the 3D print is safe for pet contact.
Can you do custom designs?
If you're interested in a custom design or idea, we're open to discussing it.
Simple things like color changes we do all the time. The usual rule is that if we have the filament you want in stock, it's just the default price. If it's a new filament, we add the cost of the filament roll from Amazon to the order.
For redesigns/edits of our models, or truly new 3D concept ideas, we have to discuss these on a case by case basis. Depending on the complexity, time involved, etc, the price can be significant, so it's not usually a service we offer, but if you want to invest into such a product, we won't say no.
Who are you guys?
Right now, we're a team of two: A husband and wife team.
The both of us contribute to the 3D modeling and product design.
The husband handles tech and customer support.
How long have you been doing this?
We started toward the beginning of 2024. Initially, we did 3D printing work at local conventions and markets.
In late 2024, we got our first snake, and couldn't find any hides we liked, so we decided to 3D print a custom one. That blew up on Reddit, and the positivity and business we've received from that made us decide to register the business/trademark, and open up an online shop.
We primarily sell to local reptile dealers and pet supply stores, as well as Etsy, but we plan to transition to this site as our primary point of purchase, eventually.
